  • Retro-reflective sensors: Utilizing a reflector to bounce the beam back to the receiver, these sensors trigger detection when an object blocks the beam path. They prove particularly effective for identifying transparent or semi-transparent objects.
Key Selection Criteria

When implementing photoelectric sensors, engineers must evaluate several critical factors:

  • Necessary response speed
  • Potential environmental light interference
  • Physical characteristics of target objects

Different sensor types exhibit varying performance characteristics regarding interference resistance, measurement precision, and cost considerations.
